Biography

My work devotes itself to free expression and the concept of play. Allowing free flowing intuitive lines, my artis able to breathe and allows my subconscious to come to life. I have an active dream world and want to express the mystical feeling of joy and confusion that I find in those subconscious worlds. I strive to create just as children draw, with no reference or concept of perfection. Now with years of artistic practice under my belt, my experience and ability are met with the want to let go and make work in a full and limitless flow. Through my studies at CSU, I discovered that traditional forms of drawing did not work for me. I create things in a piece-meal fashion by quickly gluing, sewing, or scrubbing things together. I push textures, layers, and materials, vibrant colors and a collection of stickers, ribbons and fabric bits bring joy to my body of work. The art I create is part of my own special world; it does not beg to be understood just simply wants to exist.
